... Praying People are CARING people! ... Praying People are HELPING people! ... Praying People are TITHING people! |
Bishop Anba & Sis. Anita |
Historical Perspective
God has ordained that the true church should "earnestly contend for the faith that was once delivered to the saints (Jude 1:3). God has always sounded an alarm in every age that He would have a people who would yield themselves to His Word and His Divine Plan.
We are Jesus Christ's representatives in this world: We preach and teach the Apostle's Doctrine with Authority and the Five Fold ministry as spoken of in Ephesians 7:7-14.
God is at work in our world and is manifesting Himself in all the Nations of the world; as it was in the days of the early church. God is confirming His Word with signs, wonders and miracles.
Many great moves of God have swept over Great Britain, Africa, the United States, Canada, the Isles of the Sea, India, and China. Since the Advent of Christ and the decent of the Holy Ghost on the Day of Pentecost. This can be traced back to the days of Terullian (AD 207), Chysostom (4th Century), Christians of the 13th Century, the early Quakers, Wesley, Whitfield, D.L. Moody and Charles Finney.
Pentecostal History reveals that in 1901 in the state of Kansas, the Holy Ghost fell and a great revival began in the States. Spreading southward to Texas, then reaching Los Angeles, California in 1906. This move of God lingered under the leadership of an African-American man named Elder Seymour in Los Angeles and manifested itself by the outpouring of the Holy Ghost throughout the whole world, penetrating into heathen countries, fulfilling the Great Commission of our Lord "Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature: (Mark 16:15-20; Matt. 26:18-19; Luke 24:47-49 and Acts 1:4-11).
Our Aim: To know Christ and to Make Him known
Out of this Pentecostal outpouring of the Holy Spirit came men as Bishop Charles Harrison Mason, Bishop O. T. Jones, Bishop D. J. Young, Bishop A. B. McEwen and others, who gave birth to great church assemblies, such as :Church of God in Christ, Assemblies of God, Church of God, Church of Christ, and Holiness etc ..... The central aim of these churches was to contend for and preserve the faith which was given and taught to the saints in the days of the Apostles.
Pentecostal history reveals the outpouring of the Holy Spirit beginning in the early part of 1901 in Topeka, Kansas, then on to Houston, Texas - there from Azusa Street Mission, to Memphis, Tennessee and Jackson, Mississippi; a movement that originally was called the Apostolic Faith Movement, now called the Pentecostal Movement.
The great impetus of this movement touched the life of Bishop J.L. Payne under the ministry of the late Bishop A. B. McEwen. Bishop Payne received the baptism of the Holy ghost as spoken of in the Book of Acts and began spreading the Gospel across the Nation and the World. After establishing seven churches, beginning from the islands of Hawaii to Memphis, Tennessee: In 1984, he and several ministers formed and organized the Community Pentecostal Churches International in Jackson, Mississippi to serve the several churches established in Mississippi. After a few years, it became an increasing demand to meet the needs of local churches and ministers worldwide...
